I Richard Ridgill of Clarendon County in theDestrict of Sumter aforesaid - being of perfect mind & memory-make this my last will & testament -first I desire to beDecently Buried at the Descretion of my Executors & as touchingsuch worldly Estate as it has pleased god to Bless me with in thisLife -I Bequeath & Dispose of in manner & form following -viz -first I Desire & it is my will that all my Stock of Cattle&c together with the Negroes on my Plantation be Equally Dividedbetween my son John Ridgill & my two Daughters Rebekah Hilton& Darcus Lloyd -& I desire that the part coming to DorcasLloyd together with a hundred acres of Land on Bell Branch is to her& the heirs of her Body for Ever- as also is Rebekah Hiltons partto be to her & her heirs of her Body & in Case of the Deathof them, all their parts is to Return Back to the surviving heirs ofthe said Estate - & to my granddaughter Lovey Snell & MarySnell I give & bequeath the Sum of five pounds to Each of them-!!! and my Land that I Now Live on & the other track of Landadjoining thirto together with all my working tools of Every kind-& household & kitchen furniture I give & Bequeath to mySon John Ridgill - finally & Lastly it is my Desire that no partof the above articals Be Removed or taken out of the possession of mywife Mary Ridgill against her Desire - During her Life time - Butafter her Death it is to be Divided as above mentioned- And I dohereby Constitute & appoint John Ridgill & Rebeccah Hilton tobe the Executor & Executerx of this my Last will andtestament-& I do hereby utterly Revoke Disallow & Disannulall former Bequests wills and Legacies by me heretofore in any wiseleft or made - Ratifying & confirming this & No other to bemy Last will & testament in witness whereof I have hereunto Setmy hand & seal this Ninth Day of January in the year of our Lord1804 & of the soverinety & independance of the united Statesof North america the twenty eight -
