In the name of God Amen: I William Sanders, theElder, of the District. and State aforesaid, Planter, being of Soundand disposing mind, do make and constitute my last will, and deviseas follows, that is to say. My will and desire is, That All myProperty be kept together until my just Debts shall be paid out ofthe Proceeds and profits thereof, and the Money in hand at my death. While my Property is so kept together, my beloved wife Sarah, mygrandson Richard S Moore, and my granddaughter Sarah Moore are to bemaintained out of the income of my Estate, and my said wife shallalso, be so maintained, one year thereafter; and whatever surplusMoney shall be on hand, at the time of dividing my Property, afterpayment of Debts, arising from the Income of my Estate shall go to mysaid wife. After my just Debts shall be so paid I give and devise tomy said wife to her and her heirs forever, one Negroe girl calledMary, one horse and riding chair, one featherbed and furniture: Item;I will and devise to my said wife for and during her natural life,and no longer, The Plantation on which I now live with the two tractsadjoining, the one purchased of General Cantey, & the othergranted to myself, together with my household furniture Cotton gin,Plantation Tools & Implements, and Stock of every kind, also, thefollowing Negroes, Toby, Anthony, Jacob, Henry, Sue, Lucy, Winny,Reuben, Nancey, Jeffry, Phillis & Daniel, in like manner. I giveand devise to my daughter Martha Moore, to her & her heirsforever, the Tract of Land upon which she lives, of about one hundredand fifty Acres, and the following Negroes, Milly, Lucky, Louisa,Virginia, Nancy & their Increase, Also, Two hundred Dollars to bereceived after my Debts are paid. I give and devise to my grandsonRichard L Moore his heirs, and afsigns forever, Two Negroe boyscalled Cyras, and Moses; and at the death of my wife, I give anddevise to my said Grandson his heirs and afsigns forever, Theplantation and two adjoining Tracts divised to my wife for life; alsoat the Sametime; one of the two Negroes called Lucy, and Jacobaccording to his own choice, one good horse from the PlantationStock, all the Stock of Cattle and hogs remaining, one third part ofthe household furniture & Plantation Tools, and my fowling-Piece:But in case my said grandson should depart this life without lawfulIfsue living at the time of his death, then the Negroes soBequeathed, shall go to the aforesaid Martha Moore or her Ifsue thenliving; and in that case, the Lands so divised to him, shall go to mytwo sons, William and Robert, & their heirs forever. To my sonWilliam I give and devise one Negroe woman called Betty & herchild Rhody, & Increase, to him & his heirs, and I forgive& give up to him all claim & Interest respecting a Tract ofLand conveyed by him & myself to Gen.l Davis I give and devise tomy son Robert Sanders the Tract of Land upon which he lives of aboutTwo hundred & fifty Acres, and one hundred & fifty Dollars tohim. & his heirs; and I forgive, and give up my claim upon himfor Two hundred Dollars paid by me to Hugh Young. I give and deviseto my two sons William and Robert, & their heirs, The followingNegroes, Jacob, Tom, Rachal Hannah, Shepney, Ned Leah, Darky, MoriahOliver, Tinker, Libby, Rhiner & Santee--Milley. And at the deathof my wife the Negroes bequeathed to her for life, are to go to mysaid two sons, & their heirs, except either Lucy or Jacob,whichever maybe chosen by my grandson Richard S. Moore; and at thesame time, the other two thirds of my household furniture, &Plantation Tools. The Provision & grain on hand at the time ofdividing my Estate, shall remain for the use of my wife & RichardS Moore, Unlefs my Executors shall be able to collect the bond ofWilliam Riggans & others to me, they are directed to raise Twohundred and Twenty Pounds out of the income of my Estate, to be keptat Interest to pay off the Legatees of William Ragan deceased:

I appoint my wife Executrix and my two sonsExecutors of my will & Devise. In Testimony whereof I hereto setmy hand and Seal this Twenty first of April AnnoDomini 1810---
