Know all Men by this Present, that I John Simpsonof Clarendon County, Sumpter District, - being infirm in Body, butSound in Mind, and at the Same time Wishing to Settle all My EarthlyAffairs, do Make and ordain this My last Will & Testament,revolting and Annulling all other Will or Wills Made by Me- In theFirst Place I Commit My Soul to God Hoping & Trusting thro theMirits of our Blefsed Redeemer that he will mercifully forgive Me allMy Sins- and transgrefsions thro life - It is My Will after all Mylawful Debts being paid that My property, both real and personal, ofall kind which I was pofsefsed of previous to My Marriage with AmeliaAnderson should descend to My Brothers & Sisters equally to bedivided between them- It is also My Will that the residue of MyProperty which I obtained in Consequence of my Marriage With the SaidAmelia Anderson should descend to her Mother Mary Anderson & herHeirs for Ever together With two of my best Cows & Calves---Ialso give to the Said Mary Anderson My brown Bay Mare, - & I dohereby Nominate and Appoint My friend & Brother Thomas Simpson& My friend Robert Dow to be My Executors of this My last Will& Testament
