I Robert Singleton of the state of South Carolinaand Cleare Mount County being through the abundant Mercy of God thoWeak in Body yet of Sound and perfect under standing and Mercy domake and order this my last will and testament and believe it maybereceived by all as such first I most humbly bequeath my soul to Godthat give it be seeking his most gracious acceptance of it blessed beGod. I give my body to the earth from whence it was taken in fullassurance of its Resurrection from thence at last Day as for myburial I desire it to be decent with out pomp or State at thediscretion of my executors heave after named as for Worldly Estate. I will and positively order all my just debts to be paid

First I give bequeath unto John Singleton oneNegro man by the name of Jim and one Negro boy by the name of Peterthese to him and the heirs of his body forever

I secondly give and bequeath to my son RuhdSingletons two Children Joseph and Elizabeth two Negroes that isWiney and Abram to them and their heirs forever to be Equally dividedbetween them

Thirdly I give and bequeath to my DaughterElizabeth three Negros that is Sam Jene and Harey and the saidElizabeth to pay Sarah Vaughan fifteen pound

Forthly I give and bequeath to by Daughter SarahVaughan two Negroes that is Toney and Milley to her and the heirs ofher body forever

Fiftly I give and bequeath to my son MatthewSingleton two negros that is Top and Ben to him and the heirs of hisbody forever

Sixly I give and bequeath to my son Ruhd Singletonten shillings sterling to him and his heirs forever

Eightly I give and bequeath to my son JosephSingleton ten shillings to him and the heirs of his body forever andI give to Matthew Singleton and John Singleton all that plantation ortrack of land I now live on that is five hundred acres to them andthe heirs of their bodies forever to be Equally divided between themand the remainder of my Estate I will it may be divided between myfour children that is John Singleton, Matthew Singleton and ElizabethBradford and Sarah Vaughn for the Execution of which I appoint mysoninlaw Ruhd Bradford and my son John Singleton
