In the Name of God Amen. I Joshua Stafford of theState of South Carolina Sumter District being unwell but sound Mindand Memory but Recollecting the Mortality of all men and the greatuncertainty of all human events, Do Make and Ordain this my last Willand and Testament and hereby difannulling all former and other willsby me Made: First I recommend my Soul to almighty God who gave it& my body to be buryed in a Christian like Manner at thediscretion of my Friends and Executors. I do will and dispose of allmy property both real & personal in the way and Manner following,Imprimus. I do give to my wife Charrity Stafford & my youngestChildren Namely, Elijah Sarar & James C. Stafford ally myproperty both Real and personal until my youngest Son the said JamesC. Stafford arrives to the age of Twenty-One to be kept together fortheir Sole use & benefit; but if my wife Charrity Should Marry orin any wise wish to Seperate from the above named Children my Willand desire is that she receive and shall be entitled to One fourthpart of my whole Estate as heretofore Mentioned. My Will and desireis, that if my wife Charrity Should die before my Son James becomesof age, or at any orther period, (she not having married) that theyShall be entitled to her propertion of the above Estate, to theirSole and Seperate use; my Will and desire is, that my above NamedChildren shall not have it in their power to waste or destroy theabove Named Property.
