In the of God Amen I William Taylor of theDistrict and State aforesaid being old Strickoned in Years but inperfect Memory and understanding but Knowing that it was appointedonce for all Men once to die do Make this My last Will and Testamentin the Manner and form Following Imprimise it is my will and desirethat my stock of Cattle Hogs and Horses Such as are not in immediateuse on the plantation and a Girl named Bess to be sold for thebenefit of my Creditors Item I give and Bequath to My Son Saml. P.Taylor one Negro Man Named Ruffin /Item/ I give and bequeath to myDaughter Mary Nelson Taylor and her Lawful begotten issue one Negrowoman Named Sally with her future issue Item/ Give and Bequeath to myDaughter Susannah Elizabeth Taylor and her Lawful begotten issue oneNegro Girl named Darcus and her Future issue Item I give and bequeathto my Daughter Mariah Boneau Taylor and Lawful begotten issue oneGirl named charlotte with her future issue /Item/ 1 give and bequethto my Grand son George Washington White one negro named Tenah withher future issue to him and his Lawful issue Item the Rest andResidue of My personal Property is to Remain on my Plantation for theSupport and maintenance of My wife Mary Taylor and my Daughters whichmay be Unmaried at My death during the Lifetime of my Wife MaryTaylor and at her death the hole of my Personal Property not alreadyBequthed to be Equally Divided amonght my Children and my Grand SonGeorge Washington White to Shear and Shear alike to them and theLawful heirs of their Body but if one or more of my Children orGrandson Shall die before that time leaving issue that issue is tohave which the parent would have been intitled to if living
