In The Name of God Amen, I, William Terry ofClarendon County & State of South Carolina being infirm of Bodybut Sound of Mind do make and declare this to be my last and OnlyWill & Testament. First, I

desire that my Body be buried in a decent andChristianlike manner at the descrition of my Executors hereafter tobe named.

 

Item--I desire that my Crop on hand, my Stock ofHoggs & poultry, my Rifle gun, BeeHives and Plantation tools besold as soon as my Executors may think expedient either at Publik orprivate Sale and the proceeds applied to the discharge of my Justdebts & in case the amount of them be not sufficient for thepurpose then the balance to be raised either by the sale of one of myFeather Beds or from the Hire of my Negroes.---

 

Item--I give and Bequeath to my beloved wifeSusannah and the Heirs of her Body lawfully begotten all the amt andresidue of my property except my Stock gun--but in case of her deathwithout ifsue then I desire that the Negroes and other propertywhich I get by her do revert to Her father, or in case of his deathbefore her, to his Children & Their Heirs--and that the Negro BoyDavy and other property which I have acquired by my industry, afterher death as above recited--do go to my brothers fisters share &share alike----

 

Item--I lend to my Beloved Father during hislifetime my shot gun after his Death I will it to my beloved BrotherIsham to him & his Heirs forever.-----

 

Item--I desire that my Executors hereafter to benamed do take charge of my Negroes Davy & Tisby and my HorseMentor--and exercise them to the most advantage for the benefit of MyWife during her Widowhood, either by Hiring them or working them onShares as they may think proper.----

 

Item--I appoint my Trusty and beloved friends Mate.w James and Thomas N. Johnson to be my Executors and carry theforegoing unto effect As Witnefs my hand & Seal this Second dayof July in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundrede--
