In the Name of God Amen---I Richard Tomlinson ofSumter District Salem County South Carolina being Sick and weak inBody-but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto god thareforand calling unto mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it isappointed unto all men once to Die. Do tharefor make and ordain thisto be my last will and Testament: That is to say: First andprincipally I Recommend my Soul to God who gave it in Sure andcertain hope of the Resurrection, and my Body I commit to the Earthto be buried in a decent Christian Burial at the Discretion of myExecutors hear-after named. And for such worldly good things as ithath pleased God to Blefs me with in this life I give bequeath andDispose of in the following manner and form--- Imprimis I Will anddesire that all my Lawful Debts be paid

Item--For Certain Reasons me hearunto Moving, itis my will and desire that my Children I had by my first wife doReceive from My Executors the sum of five Shilling Sterling Each forthare full share of my Estate if Demanded I Will and Desire thattract of land Containing one Hundred Acres on the South Side ofLinches Creek Bounding on the Chandlers lands, to be sold and themoney put to the schooling and support of the children I will anddesire that my negro girl Boss and her Increase be left to my Wifeher life tim and then her and increase if any to be Divided Among herChildren that she now has I will and Desire that my Stock of CattleHorsis hogs and Sheep be Kept to gather for the Support of my FamilyI constitute and appoint Robert Tomlinson and Mary my wife Executorand Executrix of this my last will and Testament and I do hearbyRevoke and Disannul all and Every other will or wills Requests by mehear tofore maid Declaring this and no Other to be my last will andTestament. In witnefs whareof I have hear unto set my hand and Sealthis Fourteenth day of September in the year of our Lord Eighteenhundred and five-
