Know all men by these presents that I John CWalter make this my last will & Testament-- Viz.

I will that my just debts be fully paid by mycrops if pofsible but if they should not be Sufficient I will that myland in St Stephens parish & Prince Fredericís parrishalso my Cyprefs lands in St Georges Parish left me by my late BrotherWilliam also my Swamp lands at Brisbanes ferry be dived into thirdsor halves all of which above named lands to be disposed at thediscretion of my Executors for the purpose of discharging my debtsbegining with the first named tract and going on in succefsion so asto leave the last named tract for the last to be disposed To my wifeM B Walter I give & bequeath The following named Negro Slavesforever Snow Castle Tom Abram Ramsgate Hannah, Cumba, Dinah, Sam,Fanny, I also give & bequeath to my above wife the followingNegro Slaves Betty, Jo, John, Sally, Frank, Omba, Pompey, Jenny,During her Widowhood---The rest & resudue of my Negro Slaves Iwill & bequeath to my Daughter Mary Glaze Walter--together withthe last mentioned eight Slaves, provided Mrs M B Walter should marryagain previous to Marys arriving to the age of Sixteen----I furthermore give & bequeath to my wife all my household & kitchenfurniture plantation tools & utensils of every description HorsesMules & stock of every description----To my young friend ThomasHugh Taylor I give & bequeath a neat little horse with 45$ with aSaddle & Bridle as soon as my executors can conveniently sparethe cash, An also my single Barreled Gun which I will shall bethoroughly repaired To my Daughter M G I also give my gold watchChain & appendages I farther appoint my Friends John Batts B.G.Ivor & David DuBose Executors of this my last will &Testament In witnefs whereof I have hereunto signed my name
