SARAH WHEELER

 

In the name of God, Amen--I, Sarah Wheeler beingof sound mind & in my perfect senfes, & expecting that it isthe will of the Lord soon to remove me from time into eternity; doresign my immortal Soul up to the mercy of God thro' the midiationof my gracious Redeemer, & leave my body to be decently burried. I do also make & leave this my last will & Testament-

 

First, it is my will and desire that a negro boyof mine named, Sam, should be appraised and valued, & that threefourths of his value, should be given to my Granddaughter, SarahWheeler & that one fourth the remainder should be given to myGrandson, John Moore.

 

Secondly, it is my will and request that myGrandson John Moore should have my little hairtrunk & that myparticular bed and furniture should be divided between my twoGrand-daughters, Brunetta and Catharine Wheeler-

 

Thirdly, It is my will and desire that my twogolden rings, five silver tea-spoons and silver pepper box should begiven to my beloved daughter, Martha Bacon.

 

Item, It is my will and request that all the restof my property should be equally and impartially divided between mySon Henry Wheeler and my Daughter, Martha Bacon.

 

Lastly, I appoint, and request my Son, HenryWheeler, and Mr. John Moore, Junr to be faithful executors of this mylast Will and Testament. Signed and sealed, this fourteenth day ofApril and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred &one, in presence of,
