WILL OF MARY WILLIAMS

 

In the Name of God amen. I Mary Williams inClearmount Countey, Sumpter district, and State of Southcarolina.being in Perfect health, and of perfect Mind and memory, thanks BeGiven unto god: Calling unto mind the Mortality of My body andknowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die, do make andordain This My Last will and Testament. that is to say. Principallyand first of all I give and Recommend My Soul into The hand ofalmight God that gave it. and My Body I Recommend to the Earth, to beBuried in decent Christian Burial, at the Discretion of my heirs,Nothing Doubting but at The General Resurrection, I shall Receive theSame again By the Mighty Power of god and as touching such WorldlyEstate wherewith it hath pleased god to Blefs Me In this Life. I GiveDemise and dispose of the same in The following Maner andform--

First I Give and Bequeath to My Dear and wellbeloved Children. Sarah Loyd, William Linam, Ann Odil, Mark Linam,Mary Compton, and Frances Compton And Elizabeth Richardson the Sum ofFive Shillings Each. to Be Raised and Levied out of My Estate at MyDeath also I give to My well Beloved Sons Charles Linam and SingletonWilliamas all the Remaining part of my Estate which I shall Beepofsefsed of at My Death to be Equally divided Between them Share andShare, I ordain also that if Either of them Shall die before theyshall have a Lawfull heir their part shall Return to the others and Ido hereby utterly Disallow Revoke and disannul all and Every otherformer testament Wills Legasies and bequest By Mee in any wise BeforeNamed or Willed. Rattifying and Confirming this to be My Last willand Testament in witnefs whereof I have hereunto set My hand this sixof desember in the year of our Lor one thousin Eight hundred and fiveand in the twentieth ninth year of the Sivernnity and independence ofthe United States of America---
