In the name of God Amen- I Willis Barfield ofSumter District in the State of South Carolina, being weak in bodybut sound of mine and memory and calling to mind the uncertainty ofLife- And being desirious to dispose of my worldly Estate- I dohereby make and publish this my last Will and Testament revoking allother wills made by me.

First- I give and bequeath unto my belived WifeBarbary Ann Barfield the tract of Land whereon I now live containingabout One hundred and four acres ajoining Lands of A.L. Jones, G.W.Billups , Muniford Tisdale, and Lands Granted to General ThomasSumter. The Said land I Give to my said Wife during her natural life,and at her death to be equally divided between my children share andshare alike.

Secondly- I Give and bequeath unto my Wife all myHouse hold and kitchen furniture during her natural life and at herdeath to be equally divided between my children share and sharealike.

Thirdly- I Give and bequeath unto my Wife all myStock of every description during her natural Life and at her deathto be equally divided between my children share and sharealike.

Fourthly- It is my will and desire that my saidWife have all the provisions of every description that may be Left onthe plantation at the time of my death.

Lastly I nominate and appoint my son Barney B.Barfield executor to this my last Will and Testament.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my handand seal this Twenty third day of June in the Year of our Lord onethousand eight hundred and fourty Two.
