SAMUEL L BELL

 

I, Samuel Lawson Bell of Sumter district being ofsound mind although sick in body do make this my last will andtestament. It is my will that all my just debts be paid and I chargemy brother James P Bell with the payment of the Same. I give unto mybrother James P Bell my negro boy Prince, and I release unto him myinterest in the boy Charles, giving him my half of him, Item, Irelease and devise unto him and his heirs forever my interest in theOne hundred and fifty acres near Providence bought of the estate ofThomas Sumter, Item I release and devise unto him and his heirsforever my interest in four hundred and fifty Six acres of land nearProvidence bought of Dr. C.C. Spann; my interest in the firstmentioned tract of one hundred and fifty acres being one halfthereof, and my interest in the last mentioned tract being one thirdthereof. I appoint my brother James P Bell my executor, and I chargehim that after the payment of my debts, he pay out of my estate realor personal the following legacies, unto my Sister Mary C Avinger theSum of fifty dollars, unto my sister Nancy A Jandon the sum of fiftydollars unto my brother William K Bell the sum of fifty dollars,Signed and Sealed and delivered this twenty fourth day of Octobereighteen hundred and forty two, in the presence of W. L.Burgfs
