District.Do Make this my last Will
and Testament in Manner & form following,
First.I
Resign my soul into the hands of Almightygod,
and my Body I commit to the Earth to be buried at the discretion of my
Executors hereafter named, and my Worldly Estate I give and de-vise as
follows-
Secondly.It
is my will and desire that all my Just debts be paid as soon after my decease
as pofsible-
Thirdly
-I Give and bequeath to my Beloved
Wife Sarah Bradham, Two negroes, Flora and Esther, for her proper use and
benefit, I also give her the use of the Balance of my Negroes, Land, and
what other property I may pofsefs, during her natural life and after her
death to be divided as follows-
Fourth.It
is my will and desire after the death of My Wife Sarah, that my Daughter
Sarah Holladay Receve one Negro Girl Named Delia, for her use and the Ifsue
of her body, Provided, My said Daughter Sarah Holladay Saves me and my
Estate harmlefs for a note given by me to F. I. Moses for about Four hundred
dollars, it being for a debt due by Rober I. Hollady; other.It
is my Will and desire that
Said girl Delia be sold to pay Said debt –
Fifth.I
give and bequeath to my Son Lawrence F. Bradham, (after the Death of My
Wife Sarah) one negro Boy named Peter for his use,, & his heirs,
Sixth,
I give and Bequeath to my son Albert H. Bradham, (after the Death ofmy
wife Sarah) one negro girl named Lidia, also Fifty dollars, for his proper
use-
Seventh.I
give and bequeath to my son Edward M. Bradham ( after the Death of my wife
Sarah) one negro girl named Epay.Also
the Plantation whereon I now live for his own and proper use –
Eight.I
nominate and appoint my beloved Wife Sarah, and My Son Lawrence F. Executrix,
& Executor, to this my last will and TestamentRevoking
all former Wills and Testaments by me made –

CODICIL
Codicil
to this my Last Will & Testament I give and Bequeath to my daughter
Sarah Holladay the use of the Plantation or tract of landwhereon
she now lives containing Fifty acres more or lefs lying and situate on
the East side of the Sumterville Road and known as the William Bradham
Tract LandI also deliver to My
Said Sarah Holladay the within Named Negro girl Delia whi Said Land &
Negro is for the Sole use & Benefit for my Daughter Sarah Holladay
during her natural life and not to be liable or subject for any debt or
contract of her or any other person and after her death it is my Will and
Desire that My grand Son John
Henry
Holladay Receve the aforesaid negro and Land for his own Proper use.
