In the Name of God, Amen, I Andrew Burgess ofSumter District in said State do make and ordain this my Last Willand Testament in manner and form following; First, I give devise andbequeath unto my beloved Wife, Rachel M. Burgess for and duringh

should die leaving no lawful ifsue living at thetime of his ,her or their death or deaths, then and in that case his,her or their portion or portions shall be equally divided among mysurviving children. Item, If any of my children should die leavingno

ifsue living at the time of his, her or theirdeath, I wish the share which he, she or they will be entitled tounder the first clause of this my will to be equally divided among mysurviving children.

 

I nominate constitute and appoint my wife RachelM. Burgess executrix and my sons William R., Robert W. and James M.Burgess executors of this my last will and testament, hereby revokingall wills by me at any time heretofore made.

 

In Witnefs whereof I the said Andrew Burgefs havehereunto set my seal and signed my name the Eighth day of May in theyear of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty nine..
