I Lawrence Franklin of State and Districtaforesaid being very lo by a long Spell of Sickness yet of soundsense and knowledge Reminding myself of the Shortness of Life and theCertainty of Death think Proper to Give and Dispose of my littleestate as follows-- that to Say after my Lawful and Just Debts arePaid, I then for the Kind Love and affection I Bare to my belovedwife, Judy Franklin, I give and bequeath all Real and PersonalProperty for her use as long as she lives. At her death, if anystill remains, to be equally divided among my four Children say--David Franklin, Keziah S Kolb, Sarah R Franklin, Susanah G Capps. Ialso leave my wife, Judy Franklin, Executress and Moses T Green,Executor, to manage my little affairs to the best advantage as theycan, not to give up any Lands where they think there is any chance ofholding them.
