Will of Janet Hudson

In the name of God amen. I Jannet Hudson of MarionDistrict & State of South Carolina, being in bodily health and ofa sound & disposing mind and memory, thanks to Almighty God forthe Same, and calling to mind the mortality of man, do make,constitute and appoint this to be my last will & Testament inmanner and form following -- (Viz) after my decease, I request mybody to be decently buried and all my Just debts to be paid. -- ----

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son James W.Hudson and to my daughter Elizabeth H. Harrington, such property asthey have already received from me, to be their full share of myEstate, to them their heirs and assigns forever.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my three grandchildren, (viz) James W. Hudson, Robert G Hudson and Mary Jane NHudson (being the children of my deceased Son John N Hudson) all theremaining part of my Estate, consisting of one negro girl named Lucy,with her future increase, one boy named Henry, and whatever funds maybe due me on note or accts to be equally divided amongst them, bythree disinterested Persons chosen by my Exetrs for that purpose, tobe given to the Daughter, at eighteen years of age or marriage, andto the Sons at twenty one years of age, to them their heirs andassigns forever. -- -- -- and lastly. I do nominate, constitute,& appoint my two friends, Absalom Wilson & Doctor Ezra MGregg Executors of this my last will & testament, revoking &making void all other wills by me heretofore made, & acknowledgethis and no other to be my last will and testament. In witnesswhereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this eighth day ofSeptember in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred &thirty seven, and Sixty Second year of American Independence.
