Will of William King

        

State of South Carolina

        

   In the name of God Amen. I William King of the State aforesaid and District of Sumter being at this time in feeble and infirm health but. of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this

my last Will and testament.

Item 1. I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary M. King one fourth of my estate both real and personal during the term of her natural life. And at her death that part or portion allotted to her to be equally divided between surviving children share and share alike and I do hereby exprefsly enjoin it upon my Executors herein after to be appointed not to permit or suffer the said part or portion of my estate bequeathed unto my said Wife Mary M. King to be removed from and without the limits of this State.

Item 2. I give and bequeath unto my three beloved children Felix L.  King, Richard R. King and Anna Maria King all the rest and residue of my estate whether real or personal which I may die seized and pofsefsed of share and share alike. but in case one or more of my children above named should die leaving no lawful ifsue then and in that case that part or portion allotted to him her or them to be vested absolutely and forever in the survivor or survivors-‑‑

Item 3 rd. I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my Brother John R. King and my trusty friend John J. Ragin Executors to this my last Will and testament. And I hereby revoke all former Wills by me made.---

   In Witnefs whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this the Sixth day of July 1842---
