Will Of CHERRY KENNEDY

 

In The Name Of God Amen

 

I, Cherry Kennedy of South Carolina and theDistrict of Sumter, being aged and infirm in body but perfectly soundin mind and memory, and knowing that it is appointed unto all men todie, do make this my last Will and Testament.

 

First: I commend my soul to God who gave it andmy body to be buried in a decent Christian manner. My property Iwant disposed of in the followimanner (Viz) l. It is my will thatall my estate be divided into two equal parts, or portions. One partI give unto my daughter Argent Crosswell and the other part orportion I give unto my daughter Sarah Crosswell during her naturallife time, and at her death it is my will that her part or portion beequally divided between the heirs of her body.

 

Lastly: I nominate, constitute, and appoint mygrandson John Crosswell to Execute this my Last Will and Testament.Witness my hand and seal this fourth day of March A.D. 1840.
