In the Name of God. Amen.

I Alexander McLeod of South Carolina Sumter District. Being of Sound mind but in firm in Body. Do Hereby Constitute and make this my Last will, and Testament as follows ---

Item I Request my Executor of this my last will and Testament

1st hereafter to be named that after my Death all my Just & Lawfull Debts shall be paid

Item 2d I hereby confirm the Deed. of Gift I have this day made to my wife Sarah McLeod. with this Request as my will & desire that after the Death of my wife that my Daughter Christian McKaskill shall have the use of the negro woman Delsey. during her natural Life and after her Death the negro woman to be sold and the proceeds of the Sale to be Divided between my Children who may be alive at the time of her Death.

Item 3d I hereby Confirm the Deeds of Gift this day made by me to my Children Margaret McKennan. Sarah McLean wife of Charles McLean. Flora McLeod. Norman McLeod and to my grand Children Neill Mathesin John Mathesin & Margaret Mathesin.

Item 4th I hereby give and Bequeath to my wife Sarah McLeod. One Half of all my Cattle‑ Hogs & Sheep also all my Household & Kitchen Furniture

Item 5th I hereby give and Bequeath to my Daughter Flora the other half of my Cattle Hogs & Sheep.

Item 6th I hereby give and bequeath unto my Son Norman McLeod all my Plantation utensils & Tools.

Item 7th I do hereby Request & do Constitute and appoint my Son Norman McLeod to Act as my Executor to this my last Will and Testament---

In Witnefs Whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this 15th day of August in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & Thirty four
