Will of John Ramsey

In the name of God Amen

I John Ramsey of the District of Edgefield and State of South Carolina, do make & ordain this my last will and Testament

1. I give and devise all of my property both real and personal to my beloved wife Nancy Ramsey during her natural life

2. If my wife Nancy Ramsey Should die without ifsue it is my will and desire that the whole of my property both real and personal shall be devided between my own relations according to the act of Distributions in this state, Making them share & share equally according to the nearest of Kin.

3. If my wife Nancey Ramsey Should have an heir, before her death, then it is my will and desire, that after she shall have enjoyed, her lifetime Estate of my property, above disposed of, that then the whole thereof, both real and personal, shall ascend to her said heir forever.

I hereby nominate and appoint my wife Nancy, Executrix, and my Friend Robert Reed, and my Brother, Willis Ramsey, Executors of this my last will and Testament.

In witnefs whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and seal on this eighth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five and in the forty ninth year of the soverignty

and Independence of the United States of America.
