Will of John Rhodus

In the name of God Amen

I John Rhodus of Sumter District in the state of South Carolina do make and ordain this my last Will and testament in manner and form following, To wit.

First I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Nancy Rhodus all my stock of Cattle Hogs, Horse, House hold end Kitchen furniture, plantation tools, together with my present Crop and stock Mark. to her and her heirs forever ‑

Second. I give devise and bequeath unto my said Wife Nancy One third part of my Lands, during the term of her natural life and at her death the said one third part of my Lands herein devised I give to my daughter Elizabeth Burkett and her heirs forever

Third. I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Burkett all the rest and residue of my estate both real and personal to her and her heirs forever.

Fourth. I nominate and appoint my wife Nancy Rhodus sole Executrix to this my last will ‑
