Will Of Eliza W. Sabb

In the name of God Amen I Eliza W Sabb of the State and District aforesaid being of Sound and disposing mind memory and understanding considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof to the end that I may be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to call me hence have now determined to direct what disposition shall be made of my property after my death and after due consideration do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament hereby revoking and making null and void all former last wills and testaments by me heretofore made.

First I will and bequeath to my Neice Mrs. Maria B. Oliver one coloured woman named Elsy and her seven children Nero Thomas Eliza Morgan Harriet Louisa Maria and all of their future increase to be Mrs. Maria B. Oliver during her natural life at her death they are to return to her daughter Eliza Warrington Oliver it is my wish that my executors which I shall hereafter name shall see that this property is not made way with in any way or manner

Secondly I give all of my land to my Neice Mrs. Maria B. Oliver as her own and at her own disposal

Thirdly I give Eliza Warrington Oliver one Negroe man named Ben and all of my Silver

Fourthly I give my Sister Margaret Bennett one negroe man named Toney during her life at her death to return to Eliza Warrington Oliver

Fifthly I give to my Neice Mrs. Mary M Ragin one negroe man named Jupiter---

After all of my just debts are paid I wish all that is left to be equally devided between my two neices Mrs. Mary M Ragin and Mrs. Maria B Oliver

And I do hereby nominate and appoint James B Hilton and John J Ragin executors to this my last will and testament In testimony whereof I the said Eliza W Sabb have Subscribed my hand and affixed my seal this third day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight
