In the name of God Amen, I Jane Smith widow, ofthe District of Sumter and State aforesaid, being, in usual health ofSound mind memory and understanding praised be God for the Same Domake and declare this my last Will and Testament, first I resign mySoul into the hands of Almighty Good, hoping and believing in aremifsion of my sins, by the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ Andmy Body I commit to the earth to be buried at the discretion of myExecutors herein after named, and my Worldly Estate I give and deviseas follows-----1st I give and bequeath unto my daughter RebeccaMcElveen and her ifsue a negroe Woman a Slave named Bina togetherfuture ifsue and increase, 2d I loan to my Son William H Smith duringhis natural life and at his death to his ifsue the following propertyviz negroe Woman Fellis and her Child Elsey together with theirfuture ifsue and increase likewise that portion of my Stock of Cattlethat are in his mark and the increase and bed and furniture oven potsand plates knives and forks I herein wish it perticularly understoodthat no part or portion of this legacy left my Son William shall bein any wise liable to any debts he may now owe or that he mayhereafter Cotract Should my said Son William die without leavinglawful ifsue the above legacy so left him, Shall revert back and bedivided Share and share alike between my other three Childrenlegatees in this my Will 3d I give and bequeath unto my daughterMartha Brand during her natural life and at her death to her ifsue anegroe Woman named Phoebe and her Child Anthony together with herfuture ifsue and increase, Allso I give unto my grandson Jno MKennedy my Set of Silver Tea spoons----- I give and bequeath unto mySon H. I. Smith during his natural life and at his death to his ifsuenegroe man Slave named Sam and negroe man Hope together with my setof Silver spoons, Black Smith Bellowes and Tools. The rest of theproperty may be divided among the three Except what I boughtmyself.

Lastly I do hereby nominate Constitute and appointmy Son H. J. Smith and my friend James G Burgefs executors to this myLast Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all Will orWills heretofore by me made and Do declare this to be my Last willand Testament. In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand andseal this 29 of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand EightHundred and thirty two and the fifty Sixth of American Independence
