Will of Esdaile Solomons

 

State of South Carolina

 

In the name of God, amen, I Esdaile Solomons ofSumter district in the said State, being of sound mind, but weak inbody, declare this my last will and testament.

 

I hereby give and bequeath to my brother DavidSolomons the sum of three hundred dollars.

 

All the rest and residue of my estate, no matterof what consisting, I give, devise and bequeath to my dear motherRachel Solomons, trusting that she will take prudent care of the sameand will provide for the education and support of my youngerbrothers, and that she will rear them to habits of industry, and witha due regard to all of the proprieties of life.

 

I hereby nominate and appoint my mother RachaelSolomons Executrix to this my last will and testament.

 

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand andseal this 5th June 1840.
