Will of Samuel Steverson

 

State of south Carolina

Sumter District

 

Know all men by these presents that I Samuel Steverson Citizen of the State and District aforesaid being now of Sound mind memory and understanding do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following

Viz) In the first place it is my will and desire that all of my lawfull & just debts be paid out of my Estate by my Executors herein after named.

2ly) It is also my will and desire that my executors herein after named will Sell to the highest bidder at publick auction all of my whole Estate Including all both Real and personal at sutch

time and place as their good judgement may dictate

3rd It is also my will and desire that my Executors herein after named will then divide the neet proceeds arising there from of my whole Estate both Real and Personal Into Two equal parts and

one half of the neet proceeds of my Estate to be paid over to my Brother James Steverson( If alive if not alive) To his Lawful Children and the Other Remaining half of the neet Proceeds of my Estate to be paid over to the Lawful Children of my deceased Brother Ephraim Steverson.

4th I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint Elijah Pringle and Jas D McFaddin both of the State and district aforesaid Executors of this my last will and Testament hereby Reckning and

making Void every other will or wills at any time heretofore by me made and I do now declare this to be my last Will and Testament In witnefs whereof I the said Samuel Steverson have hereunto set my hand and seal This Fourth day of May in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred & Fifty signed sealed declared and published by the above named Samuel Steverson as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his Request and in his presence have subscribed our names as Witnefs thereto
