WILL OF JONATHAN WILDER

 

In the name of God Amen.

I Jonathan Wilder of the District of Sumter and State of South Carolina, Planter, Being of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and Testament ---------------

Item 1st I Give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Brunson during the term of her natural life and after her death to any child or children that she may have living at the time of her death all my plantation or tract of land whereon I now live containing Two hundred and Sixty Six acres more or less - with the following reservations that she and her issue have hold and enjoy the same for fifty years after my decease not Subject to any deed debt or contract that she or any other person shall contract do or make ---

Item 2 I Give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Brunson the following negros slaves viz Dorcas and Tom and all the personal property that I possess at the time of my death, all my stock of every discription Plantation Tools.  Household & Kitchen furniture Riding Chair Cart All the provisions of every description that may be left at the time of my death - Also the property accruing to me from an assignment made by Danl Brunson to Jas R. Brunson & by the said Jas R. Brunson assigned to me dated 1st June 1843 on the same conditions and under the same reservations as the land above bequeathed -------------

Item 3 I Give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Brunson four notes of hand drawn by Wm. Barwick and John W. Cochran. for. one hundred dollars each dated 20 July 1847 with Interest from the date with the same reservations and under the same conditions as the other property above stated.

Lastly, I nominate and appoint William H. Davis & Turner Davis executors to this my last will & Testament ----------
