In the Name of God, Amen. I William Zuel of Sumter District, South Carolina, being advanced in years, but of sound mind, memory, & understanding, do make and publish this to be, my last Will & Testament.-------That is to say: Committing my soul into the hands of my Creator and my body to the earth, I do give, grant & bequeath my lot in Sumterville, with the house & appurtenances thereon which lot is bounded on the North of Mavericks land on the Eastly street: on the south by lands belonging to Mrs. Watson; and on the West by Main Street: together with all the rest of my worldly estate, to my friend Jared B N Hammet and his heirs forever. And I do hereby appoint the said Jared B N Hammet, my sole Executor. In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred & fifty.
