Last Will and Testament of

 Mrs. Frances Catherine Brunson

State of South Carolina

County of Sumter

In the name of God Amen.  I Frances Catherine Brunson being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, but mindful of the uncertainty of Life and desiring while in full possession of all my faculties to make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.

First I give devise and bequeath unto my two Sons William J. Brunson and Joseph W. Brunson, the Real Estate consisting of One hundred and Sixty one Acres and known as the Home Place, represented on the Partition Plat as Lot A, and assigned home in the partition of the Estate of my Husband the late I. Redden Brunson and valued as Five hundred and forty one Dollars ($541.00), and known as my portion of said Estate to be divided between them equally share and share a like.

Secondly I give devise and bequeath unto my said two Sons William J. Brunson and Joseph W. Brunson, all of the personal property I may own at the time of my death, to be divided between them equally, share and share alike, or to sold and the proceeds divided equally between them, my said two Sons as they may agree on or prefer.

Thirdly I herby give, devise to my said two Sons William J. Brunson and Joseph W. Brunson not to be in any way liable to any debt contract or obligation which they have heretofore made or may here after make.  It is further my Will and desire that should my said son William J. Brunson who is now suffering from some mental disagreement and confined in the State Lunatic Asylum at Columbia, SC die without lawful issue then and in that case, it is my Will and desire that all the property both Real and Personal shall become the property of my said son Joseph W. Brunson and his heirs forever not subject to any debts or contracts as heretofore mentioned.

Fourthly I desire to say that I have thus give and bequeathed the Real Estate and Personal Property of which I may die seized and possessed to my two Sons, as heretofore named, because they are my youngest children and believing that my other children will in no way suffer from my making the disposition of my property as before mentioned, believing as I do the same natural felling for all my Dear Children.

Fifthly I hereby nominate, constitute, and appoint my Son James Brunson as sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking any former Will by me at any time made.  In testimony where of I have hereunto subscribed my name and official seal, this twenty Eighth day of September in the Year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Eighty two, and in the one hundred and Seventh year of the Independence of the United Sates of America.

                                                                        Signed:  Frances Catherine Brunson
