Last Will and Testament of J.P. Richbourg

 

South Carolina

Sumter County

 

                                    In the name of God Amen, I J.P. Richbourg of the County and State aforesaid being of sound mind and disposing memory, but being mindful of the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death, do make ordain, and publish this my last Will and Testament.  I give, devise and bequeath all the property both Real and Personal which I may die possessed of to C.F. Keels, his heirs and assigns upon the special trust that he shall hold the property aforesaid for the length of Mrs. S.L. Keels for and during the term of her natural life, that he shall annually rent out the Real Estate and pay over the rent to the said Mrs. S.L. Keels and shall invest the personal property on good and ………… collect the interest accruing thereon each year and pay said interest to said Mrs. S.L. Keels, and upon the death of said Mrs. S.L. Keels he as Trustee shall equally divide the real and personal property  among the legal heirs of Mrs. S.L. Keels, or if she shall make ordain and publish a last Will and Testament, then to such persons as she may designate therein shall the property be distributed and in the manner which she may designate they to have and to hold the said property in fee simple.  The said property and the income thereof shall not be liable for any of the debts or contracts of Mrs. S.L. Keels or any of her children.

 

            In witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this twelfth day of February AD 1892 and in the one hundred and Sixteenth year of the Sovereignty and Independence of the United States of America.
