These Bible records were submitted by Abel and Ruth Pierce and pertain to his family. The presentation page states: Presented to O. E. Hall, a proprietor of the St. Charles Hotel by his guests at the Presbyt, Gen. Assembly in New Orleans, May 1858. Holy Bible containing the Old and New Testaments translated out of the Original Tongues and with the former translations diligently compared and revised. New York: American Bible Society, instituted in the year MDCCCXVI—1856 (English, imperial quarto). Inscription: Jeannie Hall Battle, from his mother Xmas 1886 and given to Alice R. Hall, wife of Lee Hall, by Frank Battle after Jeannie H. Battle’s death. To Adelaide Hall Pierce by Alice R. Hall 1950.
 

Enoch Mudge, son of John and Mary Waite, married Lydia Ingalls, daughter of John and Abagail Ingalls of Lynn, Mass. They had 14 children of whom the second—Enoch was born June 28, 1776. He married Jerusha Hinckley, daughter of Capt. John Holbrook of Welfleet, Mass. Nov. 29th 1797. They had four children of whom, the oldest Soloman Hinckley was born Jan. 18, 1803. He married Oct. 16, 1826; Susan H. Dodge was descended from Gabriel Bernon born at Rocheville, France April 6, 1644. He, for religion’s sake, emigrated t o Providence, R. I. June 1, 1688. He married Mary Harris Jan. 17, 1714 and died Feb. 7, 1736 aged 92 years-is buried under the Episcopal Church in Providence. His daughter, Mary Bernon born April 14, 1719—married Gideon Crawford Sept. 15, 1736. Their daughter, Mary Crawford born April 8, 1741 married Saml Tripe, Sept. 25th 1757. Their daughter Sarah Crawford Tripe born March 18, 1775 married Nehemiah Dodge Sept. 13, 1795. Their daughter Susan Hotchkiss born May 24, 1808 married Solomon Hinckley Mudge Oct 16, 1826. Their daughter, Emily O. Mudge born Sept. 30, 1827, married June 24, 1844, Orson E. Hall, who died Oct. 25, 1871. Emily O. Mudge Hall married Charles S. Rogers May 20, 1875.
