Buckeye Bee

The Buckeye School started September 8. Our enrollment reached seventeen this week. Several of the children gave an interesting account of the circus which they attended Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Byers of Blessing, visited Mr. and Mrs. Jap Smith on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Mullins and Mr. and Mrs. O. J. France and little daughter of Midfield, visited Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Spoor.

Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Simpson, Buckeye, visited in Midfield Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. V. R. Clipper and little son, are here visiting Mr. and Mrs. Schultze.

Mr. and Mrs. Claud Brinkley visited relatives in Buckeye this last week-end.

Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wiggins of Bellville and Mr. Lee Brown of Houston, visited with Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Brown this week.

Mrs. O. J. Faunce and little daughter, visited here with Mrs. E. F. Spoor Thursday.

Our enrollment has decreased by two students.

A. J. Thompson came in to bid us farewell Monday. Jane left Sunday.

Mr. M. A. Johnson went to Corpus Christi on business Saturday.

Mr. Lee Brown returned to Houston after a week's visit in Buckeye.

Mr. Gene Spoor went to Ashby Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Brown and family of Houston visited with Mrs. and Mrs. J. A. Brown this week-end.

Mrs. Elwood Smith visited in Buckeye last week.

Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Brown of Houston, visited relatives and friends here last week-end.

 

Mr. Haskill Knowles was in Victoria on business Saturday.

 

Mr. Buddy Hooper, of Bay City, was at Mr. H. C. Keith's on business Saturday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Keith and family, who were formerly of Markham, moved to Collegeport last week.

 

Mr. H. B. Julian went to Victoria Saturday.

 

Mr. T. R. Frieze of Clemville visited Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Keith on Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Heywood Cobb of Van Vleck was here on business Monday.

 

Mrs. J. V. Thompson visited Mr. and Mrs. Anderson Monday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. T. M. McKissick of Collegeport visited in the Dunbar home last Sunday.

The North and South Development Company is working on the Stoddard No. 1.

 

Mr. and Mrs. V. J. Thompson and family went to Damon last Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Hobbs.

 

Mr. E. H. Schulze, who is employed by the Missouri Pacific in Robstown, spent the week-end with his folks.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brown and family of El Campo have visited Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Brown several times this week.

 

Mrs. F. H. Brown motored to Houston with Mr. R. L. Brown of Thompson.

 

Mr. Louis Cadenhead returned from visiting his folks in Louisiana.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Leisner went to Boling Monday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Brazil and Jera Mae and Leona Dunbar went to Markham Friday to the school entertainment.

 

Miss Louis McShan went to Bay City Sunday.

 

Mrs. John Gary and family of Alvin visited Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Koehl last week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Brown accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Koehl to visit Mrs. Brown's mother who is ill.

 

Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Thompson and family visited Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Keith Sunday.

 

Mesdames Chas. Koehl and Reaves visited Mrs. Burkhart in Matagorda.
