Wiebke Kaack

June 2, 1849 – February 13, 1931

Mrs. Christian Kaack, mother of Messrs. C. D. and J. C. Kaack, died at the Loos Hospital this morning at 9:15 o’clock, at the age of 81 years 8 months and 11 days.

Mrs. Kaack suffered an attack of flu about two weeks ago and gradually grew worse until it was deemed advisable to bring her to the hospital. An examination there revealed an attack of pneumonia, which was said to be the immediate cause of her death.

Mrs. Kaack came to this country with her husband, who died in 1899, and children 39 years ago from Illinois, settling on Bucks Bayou, where the family has resided continuously.

This good woman is survived by: three sons, Henry of Ft. Bend County, C. D. and J. C. of this place and with whom she lived. A daughter died in 1912. Mrs. Kaack was a native of Germany.

Her husband and daughter were buried in Cedarvale and Mrs. Kaack will be laid to rest in the same plot. The hour will be announced later by special notice.

The Tribune joins the many friends of the two sons who have been constant companions of their dear mother for every hour of their lives. They feel the loss keenly as an interesting and devoted family circle has been broken.
