Anthony “Antone” Garcia

Anthony “Antone” Garcia, 25, of Markham passed away October 21, 1995 at Matagorda General Hospital in Bay City. He was born November 26, 1970 in Bay City to Daniel and Juanita Bosquez Garcia. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Markham.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda Galvez Garcia of Markham; by his parents, Juanita Bosquez Garcia of Amarillo, Texas and Daniel Garcia of Markham; by two daughters, Amber Nicole Garcia of Markham and Alexis Renee Garcia of Markham; by one son, Anthony Lofton Garcia, Jr. of Markham; by two sisters, Annette Garcia and Kimberley Ann Garcia both of Amarillo, Texas; by three brothers, Danny Garcia of Bay City, Joey Garcia of Odessa, Texas, Juan Mota Jr. of Amarillo, Texas, and Edward Garcia of Markham; by his paternal grandmother, Conception Garcia of Markham; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Lewis of Tennessee.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p. m. Wednesday, October 25, 1995 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel immediately followed at 7:00 p. m. by a prayer service.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Thursday, October 26, 1995 at the First Baptist Church in Markham with Rev. Howard Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City.

Pallbearers include, Daniel Garcia Jr., Joey Garcia, Edward Garcia, John Henry Garcia, Michael James Garcia, Pete Perez Jr., Richard Tovar, and Matt Tovar.

Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City.

Ramon Reyes Ramirez, Sr.

Ramon Reyes Ramirez, Sr., 84, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away Saturday, May 3, 1997 at St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles.

He was born July 18, 1912 in Victoria to Canuto and Juanita Reyes Ramirez. He was a former resident of Bay City and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

He is survived by a daughter Maria D. Ramirez of Lake Charles, Louisiana; six son Yisdoro Ramirez, Ramon Ramirez, Jr., and George Ramirez all of Bay City, Robert Ramirez of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Adolph Ramirez of Lansing, Michigan and David Ramirez of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; by three sisters Radlado Almga of Mexico, Lotoa Perez of Bay City and Maria Louisa Rodriguez of Markham; three brothers Adolph Ramirez of Van Vleck, Joe Juan Angel Ramirez of Lake Charles Louisiana and Paul Lozano of Bay City; 36 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Eloisa Martinez Ramirez on Jan. 3, 1988.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday, May 6, 1997 at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City with Rev. Edward Boren officiating.

Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City.

Funeral services for Henry Ramos, 20, of Bay City were scheduled for 3 p. m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward Boren officiating. Burial will be at Cedarvale Cemetery.

A rosary was recited Tuesday.

Mr. Ramos was born Aug. 31, 1972 in Palacios to Levi M. and Diana Solis Ramos and he died Aug. 31, 1992 a Matagorda General Hospital.

He was a member of the Catholic church.

Survivors include his father, Levi M. Ramos of Crosby; his mother, Diana S. Juarez of Bay City; his paternal grandmother, Josephine Ramos of Angleton; his maternal grandmother, Amelia Solis of Palacios; three daughters, Amanda Ramos, Emiley Ramos and Martino Ramos, all of Bay City; four sisters, Rachel Ramos, Rebecca Estrada, Ramona Samano and Ruby Ramos, all of Bay City and one brother, Lee Ramos, of Bay City.

Pallbearers are Rodney Solis, Lupe Rojas, Jesse Rojas, Randall Smith, Christopher Sedillo and Leondre Morales.

Arrangements are with Taylor brothers Funeral Home, Bay City.

Jacinto Rocha

Funeral services for Jacinto Rocha, 63, of Gretna, La., formerly of Bay City, were scheduled for 10 a. m. today at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Msgr. James Brunner officiating. Burial will be in Cedarvale Cemetery, Bay City.

A rosary was held 7:30 p. m. Thursday at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home chapel.

Mr. Rocha was born Aug. 16, 1925, in Bay City and died 6 p. m. Dec. 27, 1988, at Veteran’s Administration Hospital, New Orleans, La.

A resident of Louisiana since 1963, he  was a member of American Legion Post 64 of Gretna and the Catholic Church. He was a World War II veteran and he served with the U. S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Guadalupe Rocha of Gretna; four daughters, Vera Fuentes of Houston, Marina Green of New Orleans, Freida Allemand of Metarie, La., and Wanda Ruiz of Bay City; three sons, Jacinto Rocha Jr. of St. Augustine, Fla., Michael Rocha of Baton Rouge, La., and George Rocha of Gretna; three sisters, Antonio Zanbrano of Baytown, Priscilla Duncan of Oregon and Rosario Rocha of Bay City; three brothers, Tony Rocha of Palacios and Manuel and Pete Rocha, both of Houston; 26 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, Bay City.

Funeral services for Rev. Francisco P. Rugerio, 90, of Parker, Texas is scheduled for 2 p. m., Nov. 16 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Cedarvale cemetery in Bay City.

A prayer service was held Nov. 5 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Rugerio was born July 24, 1907 in Sauceda, Coah. Mexico to the late Guillermo and Lorenza Perez Rugerio, and died Nov. 13, 1997.

Rev. Rugerio was a former long time resident of Bay City and was the former Pastor of the El Buen Presbyterian Church in Bay City.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Iris and Abel Arias of Parker, Texas, and Irma and Daniel Zepeda of Argentina; two sons, Joel Rugerio of Portland, Tx. and Arnold Rugerio of Richardson, Tx.; sister, Cecilia Rugerio of Monterrey, Mexico; two brothers, Guillermo Rugerio of McAllen, Tx. and Primo Rugerio of Monterrey, Mexico; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dora Rugerio and son Eliud Rugerio.

Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.
