Ida Helen Wortham

Ida Helen Wortham
Mrs. E. F. Wortham

Mrs. E. F. Wortham, after an illness of several years, died at the Bay City Hospital last night at 9 o’clock and was buried in Cedarvale Cemetery this afternoon at 2 o’clock in the presence of a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives.

Decedent was 55 years of age and leaves two children, Mrs. W. D. Wilson and Mrs. A. B. VonDohlen. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

It was Mrs. Wortham’s request that all arrangements for her funeral be as simple as possible and free of all formalities. As a consequence no funeral notices were issued and only the least possible arrangements made for her interment. She merely wanted her death and burial to accentuate the simple Christian life she had always lived and in this her every wish was carried out.

The e services were held at the residence of her pastor, Rev. L. E. Selfridge, with an additional brief ceremony at the grave.

The Tribune joins the host of friends of Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. VonDohlen in profound sympathy and condolence.
