I Certify, That the within named Samuel Van Bramer a private of Captain James Selkirk Company (D) of the Sixth Regiment of Texas Infantry, born in the State of New York, aged 53 years, 5 feet, 11 inches high, dark complexion, blue eyes, brown hair, and by occupation a Carpenter was enlisted by Cap E. A. Peareson at Indianola Texas on the 4th day of October 1861 to serve for the war, and is now entitled to discharge by reason of Disability as per Certificate of Medical Board, Dec 13, 1862. The said S. Van Bramer was last paid by Capt U Wolfe A. Q. M. to include the 30th day of June 1862, and has pay due from that date to the present date. 5 mos & 16 days ___ - Sixty 80/100 Dolls. There is due to him Eighty Dollars traveling allowance from Arkansas Post Ark, the place of discharge, to Indianola Texas, place of enrollment, transportation not being furnished in kind. There is due him Twenty five Dollars clothing allowance for past six months services. He is indebted to the Confederate States Sixteen 25/100 Dolls on account of Clothing. Given in duplicate at Ark Post, Ark, this 16th day of December 1862.
