Dr. Donald Sloan Coleman

Funeral services for Dr. Donald Sloan Coleman, 42, of Pleasant Grove, Utah, were scheduled to be held at 2 p. m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Bay City, with Bishop Richard Cantrell, Bishop Joe Cannon and Patriarch James Cowart officiating.

Mr. Coleman was born April 24,1943, in Milwaukee, Wis., and died at 1 a. m. July 20, 1985, at his residence.

A former resident of Bay City, he was an anesthesiologist at Matagorda General Hospital. He was a Vietnam War veteran, and he resided in Pleasant Grove the last four years.

Survivors are his wife, Yvonne Royster Coleman of Pleasant Grove, Utah; his parents, Donald Lloyd and Loretta S. Coleman of Sun City, Ariz.; three daughters, Christina Cadenhead and Julie Coleman, both of Pleasant Grove, and Janet Coleman of Inez, Texas; two sons, Robert Lanceford Coleman of Pleasant Grove and Donald Ross Coleman of Inez; a sister, Carolyn Carlson of Elmhurst, Ill.; and a foster daughter, Alejandra Vera of Arcadia, Calif.

Pallbearers include Lynn Grebe, Joe Shiflett, Dill Badgett, E. S. "Shep" Graham, Bishop Carth Parker, E. J. Thormaehlyn, Glen Ashcraft and Johnny French. Honorary pallbearers include the medical staff of Matagorda General Hospital.

In lieu of the usual contributions, donations may be made to the Coleman Children's Missionary Fund, in care of Bishop Richard Cantrell, 2817 Encino, Bay City.

Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, Bay City.
