NEW HAVEN, CONN., Oct. 25 [1945]--W. W. Heffelfinger, (left), four-letter athlete at Yale University and guard on Walter Camp's All-America football teams of 1889, 1890 and 1891, offers a few helpful hints to the 1945 Blue Captain, end Paul Walker of Oak Park, Ill., during a practice session of the Yale team here.


HEFFELFINGER HONORED
 

W. W. "Pudge" Heffelfinger (center) former Yale guard and four times an All-America player honored in pre-game ceremonies at New Haven, Conn., today (Nov. 21, 1953). Dean C. W. On the Mend

HOUSTON, TEX., DEC. 20 [1949]--Walter W. "Pudge" Heffelfinger of Minneapolis,one of the all-time football greats, is recovering in Memorial Hospital following a major operation. Heffelfiner was a guard on Walter Camp's All-America teams of 1889-90-91. This picture was made at a Yale reunion in 1946.
