Little information is known about Sergeant Marshall, U.S. Army.  His death certificate gives his age as 21 – born c. 1896.  He was assigned to Truck Company C, 111 Support Train, 36th (T patch) Division.   His home of record was given as Palacios, Matagorda County, Texas.  He died at the Base Hospital, Camp Bowie, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas on December 20, 1917.  His cause of death was given as Bronco Pneumonia; Empyemia right complicated by measles [Probable Spanish Flu].  He was buried at the San Antonio National Cemetery, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas; Section D Site 520.  Anyone having information about Sergeant Marshall is asked to email.
