Mary (Ford) Brown

Mary died at Galveston County, Texas and is buried at the Vine Grove Christian  Church  Churchyard Cemetery, Live Oak Community, Matagorda County, Texas in an unmarked lost grave.  Her son, Specialist Second Class Caldwell Brown, Jr. United States Army  (June 2, 1932 - February 22, 1957), is also buried at this cemetery next to his brother, Hubert.  Caldwell’s grave is marked only with a concrete block.  Her husband, Reverend Caldwell Brown, Sr. ( June 18, 1903 - February 18, 1996) is buried at the Vine Grove Cemetery which is a short distance down the road from the church.  Caldwell, Jr. was killed when the military plane he was a passenger on crashed on the bank of the Han River in South Korea.  His wife was living in Bay City and his family was living at Cedar Lake at the time of his death.
