Roy Howarton

Feb. 13, 1960 – Nov. 6, 2007

Roy Louis Howarton “Fuzzy” stepped into his heavenly dimension November 6, 2007. Lately he spoke often of God and heaven and was prepared in his heart to meet Jesus.

He was the first born son to Marion and Barbara Turbiville Howarton on February 13, 1960. His early growing up years were spent in Goldthwaite, Texas where he was born. At age nine the family moved to Van Vleck, Texas where he completed his schooling. He was a member of the Van Vleck High School band and Ag class. He was a mathematical genius. After high school he began his career as a talented, inspirational and dedicated master automotive and diesel mechanic. Many perfectionist hours were spent on friends, family and customers vehicles, mud racing vehicles, and the occasional go cart. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, grilling outdoors and Star Trek.

Those who were there to greet Roy at heaven’s gates were his grandparents, Ed and Eda Turbiville, Harvey and Mary Morris, Rachel Howarton; two brothers, Lynn and Michael Howarton; and one cousin Raylynn Howarton.

Roy leaves behind a loving family: Barbara Kimmey and Christal Howarton of the home; Edmond Howarton (grandchildren Logan and Morgan), of Bay City, Anthony and Dana Kimmey (grandchildren, Nicole and Caleb), of Van Vleck, Marcus Kimmey of Houston, Mike and Natasha Morton of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Marion Howarton and Vickie Howarton of Selkirk, Michelle Howarton of Palacios, Ray and Doris Howarton of Seguin and numerous other extended family and friends.
