A small Private Cemetery is located on private property approximately 1/10 mile due east of the Old Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery at Don Tol, Texas. The cemetery is included in Matagorda County Cemeteries due to its proximity to Pledger and the possibility citizens of Pledger are buried there. The cemetery is now abandoned and closed to the public.
GPS Location: 29º 13’ 36” North // 95º 53’ 31” West
Only one monument could be found in the cemetery:
JAMES MORRIS 11 Dec 1886 - 23 Aug 1924
At least six (6) depressions were counted, though there may be more; the entire area is covered with a thick briar patch. In several places there were small clumps of lilies.
