BLACK CAT AWARDS--Recipients of the two highest honors that can be bestowed upon Black Cat footballers were Ernest Gajdosik, left Most Valuable Player winner, and Steve Polk, winner of the trophy for sportsmanship and all-around excellence both on and off the field. Admiring the boys' trophies are Coach Darrell Royal, University of Texas head coach and featured speaker for the evening and Coach Don Haley, Black Cat head coach. Last year, quarterback Dennis Gann was recipient of both awards.
