The Woodmen met again, Saturday, and initiated some more members. This order seems to be flourishing; having added 8 or 10 new members within the last month.  Matagorda County Tribune, June 3, 1899

The Woodmen met for the last time in the old church. Hereafter they will hold forth in the room above the H. E. Moore's store.

After adjourning Saturday night some of the Woodmen went coon hunting. We are not informed as to whether they secured any game or not.
