Obituary of Gladys Loy Romuald - August 15, 2004

Gladys Romuald, 91, Town of Eaton resident, died Sunday, August 15, 2004, at an area care facility.  She was born on July 4, 1913, on the family farm, in the town of Eaton to the late Louis and Gertrude (DeGrave) Loy.  On May 10, 1937, she married Joseph Romuald at Holy Martyrs of Gorcum Church.  He predeeded her in death December 1966.  Gladys lived her entire life on the farm.  She was also a lifetime member of Holy Martyrs of Gorcum.

Survivors include one daughter and three sons, Dolores (Jerome) Ratajczak, Ashwaubenon; James (Mary Lee) Romuald, Brooklyn Park, Minn; Richard (Pam) Romuald, Norman Romuald, all of Green Bay; 11 grandchildren; 16 great‑grandchildren; one sister, Lorraine Shaha, Green Bay; one sister in law, Rose Romuald, Luxemburg.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.  Friends may call at Proko‑Wall Funeral Home & Crematory, 1630 E. Mason St., on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.  Parish wake service 7:30 p.m.  Visitation will continue on Thursday at Prince of Peace (Holy Martyrs Site) from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Robert Rhyner officiating.  Burial in the Holy Martyrs Church Cemetery.  The family would like to thank the staff at Century Ridge adn the staff from Hartland Hospice, especially Heidi.
