Mrs. Louis Loy

Funeral Services for Mrs. Louis Loy, 87, wi ll be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Martyrs of Gorcum Church with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Malcore Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 8 tonight by the Ladies Alter Society of the church. Mrs. Loy died Sunday m o rning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Rentmeester, Rt. 2. The former Gertrude DeGrave, she was born in Humboldt. She married Mr. Loy 68 years ago and the couple farmed in the Town of Eaton most of their life. He died in June of 1952 and Mrs. L oy moved here six months ago. Survivors are three sons, John and Walter, Green Bay, and William, Town of Eaton; six daughters, Mrs. William (Theresa) Rentmeester, Rt. 2, Mrs. Norbert (Mary) Rentmeester, Preble; Mrs. Andrew (Eva) Anderson, Green Bay; Mrs. Cletus (Florence) Brunette, Town of Howard; Mrs. Russell (Lorraine) Shaha, Bellevue and Mrs. Joe (Gladys) Romuald, Town of Eaton, 35 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren; as sister, Mrs. Theresa Martell, Green Bay; three step-sisters, Clara Detrie and Lucy DeGrave, Green Bay, and Lillian Renquin, Abrams, and a step-brother, Harry DeGrave, Abrams. Two daughter, Barbara and Ethyl and a son George, preceeded her in death.

NOTE: On above obituary, some clarifications: three step sisters and step brother are actually half-sisters and brother. Same father, Francis, different mothers. Lucy is listed with last name of DeGrave, however, it is Cleereman. Lucy divorced John Cleereman but did not return to maiden name. Daughter deceased, Ethyl is actually Elphy.
