Obituary of Paul Matzke - November 26, 1967

Paul Matzke, 100 years old, DePere, passed away Sunday afternoon at a local hospital.  He was born December 12, 1866, in the Town of DePere and lived here all his life.  He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary's Church, DePere.

 Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. John (Lydia) Dollar, DePere; Mrs. Dewey (Agnes) Decker, Green Bay; one son, Clem Matzke, Town of Glenmore; 18 grandchildren, 70 great grand children; five great-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Gertrude Loehlein, his parents, four brothers, five sisters.

 At Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster, after 2 p.m. Tuesday Holy Name Rosary, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Parish Rosary, 8 p.m. Tuesday.

 Funeral 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Mary's Church, DePere.  The Rev. Raymond Hietpas, officiating.  Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
