WILL - LOCKETT, Thomas - Will of Thomas Lockett of Bristol Parish, dated March 27, 1686, recorded June 1, 1686. To eldest son, Benjamin, all of the land between the spring and Deep Bottom, called "Scotland Hills". To James Lockett and Thomas Lockett, the land I now live on; with son, Thomas, to get plantation and son, James, to get part at the lower landing. To eldest daughter, Susan Lockett, 1 mare. Witnesses were Samuel Morris, Henry Walthall, and James Baugh. Execution of above will granted to Margaret, widow of Thomas Lockett.

WILL - LEWIS, William - In the manner of God, Amen, I William Lewis of the County of Brunswick and state of Virginia, being of sound mind and memory, and calling to recollection the uncertainty of this transitory life doe make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, Viz., My will and desire is that a part of my land be sold running the line between the spring and the house where Ruel Lewis now lives, on the hill all to the sturgeon creek. W, I lend to my loving wife Martha Lewis, all my estate both real and personal during her life, after paying my last debts, and after her death, the balance of my land divided between my three sons, Ruel, James & Hiram Lewis and at my wife's death the balance of my estate to be sold and equally divided amongst all children, except Michael Maldrin who has had his full part given him before the date herein written, I leave my friend, Joshua Lucy to execute this my last will and testatment, hereby revoking and annulling all wills heretofore by me made-In testimoney whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this sixth day of February in the year of our lord 1823. WILL - LEWIS, Ruel - In the name of God amen, I Ruel Lewis of the County of Brunswick and State of Virginia being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit. First I lend to my daughters Louisa and Jane Lewis the whole of the tract of land and appurtenances during their natural lives or celibacy and at the death of one of my daughters, all the land loaned, shall go to the other during her natural life or celibacy and at the death of both of them, my land must be equally divided between my two sons Fredk. W. and John Lewis to them and their heirs forever. Second, I lend to my daughters all the stock of all kinds, crops of all kinds on hand to be kept for their use, and used for the benefit of them upon the land during their lives or celibacy, and at the death of both of them or marriage, my will is that all the stock, crops of all kinds shall be given to my son John and his heirs forever. Third, As I have before given to my daughter Catherine Sadler and Nancy Abernathy each a bed and furniture, a cow, also to my son Fredk. & John each a bed. I give to my daughters Louisa and Jane Lewis each a bed and kitchen furniture to them and their heirs forever. Fourth, I hereby appoint my sons Fredk. and John Lewis my executors giving security to the Court. Ruel (his mark) Lewis Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of Richard W.
