House built around 1900 is birthplace of Carter Thompson, local buisness man and historian, born 1914, son of David Jennings and Ellen Owen Thompson. Members of the Thompson family have been at least four generations at Plantersville Methodist Church. Carter and his family live at Fort Mitchell.
