Will of WILLIAM HUDSON of Prince Edward County, Virginia, recorded in Will Book 2, 
page 80, Prince Edward County Court House



     I William Hudson of Prince Edward County being in my perfect mind and memory, as 
to my wordly estate do give and dispose of  the following; I will that my just debts 
be paid.  I give and devise to my daughter, Francis Wheeler, three negroes, two by 
the name of Amey and there (sic) increase and one by the name of Daniel.
     I give and devise to my daughter Sarah Harris three negroes, Easter, Nance and their 
increase and Anthony.
     I give and devise to my daughter Elizabeth Wilson three negroes, Milly, Liddey, ?ickey 
and their increase.  I give and devise to my son, Nathaniel Hudson, three negroes Rachel
and Easter and their increase and Trigg.  I give and devise to my son John Hudson, all
the land in the tract whereon I now live and three negroes, Sam and Susy and their increase
and Sam.  All the rest of my negroes and the stock of all kinds, household and kitchen 
furniture, in short all of my moveable estate,  I give and devise to be equally divided 
between my five children above mentioned.
     I give and devise to each of my children the several legacies mentioned heretofore to the
true intent and meaning thereof, to them, and each of them and their heirs forever.  I do
appoint my two sons, Nathaniel and John my executors to this my Last Will and Testament. 
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this thirty first day 
of January one thousand seven hundred and ninety five.

At a Court held for Prince Edward County, April 21, 1800

     This last will and testament of William Hudson, deceased , was presented in Court and 
proven by the oaths of two witnesses thereto ordered that the same be recorded and on the 
motion of John Hudson, one of the Executors therein named who gave bond and took the oath 
required by  ???? certificate for obtaining a probate thereof in due form is granted him 
and leave given the other Executor therein named to take execution at another day.
